Using the CAD Dashboard

Overview

The CAD Dashboard (/cad) provides a command-center–style view designed for dispatchers and active monitoring. It combines an incident board, live map, and alerts panel in a dense, information-rich layout.

Requires: Pro tier or higher.

Dashboard Header

• Active incident count — Total active incidents.
• Live / Offline indicator — Green dot when connected and receiving updates.
• Live clock — Current time displayed in the center.
• NWS & Fire Wx HUD chips — Quick status indicators for active watches and warnings.

Incident Board

The board displays active incidents as cards. It refreshes automatically every 30 seconds from the CAD feed and stays in sync with the live Convex subscription. Medical-type incidents are excluded from the board.

Controls

• Zoom — Toggle auto-zoom to the newest incident on the map.
• Sound — Toggle audible alerts when new incidents are reported.
• Alerts panel — Show or hide the alerts sidebar.
• Weather links — Quick links to the Weather and Fire Weather pages.
• Refresh — Manually refresh the CAD feed.

Mobile Layout

On mobile devices, the dashboard uses tabs: Board, Map, and Alerts.

Agency Integration

If you belong to an Agency Group, the CAD Dashboard integrates with your group's dispatch features, showing member locations (when shared), attachment status, and the group access menu.
