Setting Up Incident Notifications

Notification Settings

Configure which incidents trigger alerts by visiting your Profile page. Scroll to the Incident Notifications section.

Notification Types

  • In-app popup alerts — A popup appears in your browser when a matching incident is reported.
  • Email alerts — Sent to your verified primary email address.

Configuration Options

Minimum Unit Count for Popups

Enable "Require minimum unit count for popups" to only show alerts when an incident has a certain number of units dispatched. The threshold is configurable from 4 to 99 units (default: 4). This helps filter out minor calls and focus on significant incidents.

PulsePoint Incident Types

Select which PulsePoint incident types should trigger notifications. Choose from the full catalog of incident types (Structure Fire, Vegetation Fire, Traffic Collision, Hazmat, etc.).

CHP Incident Types

Similarly, select which CHP (California Highway Patrol) incident types should trigger notifications.

Free Tier Limits

Free-tier users can select up to 3 total incident types across both PulsePoint and CHP categories. A counter shows how many selections remain. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited type selections.
