Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Trouble Signing In

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
  • Use the Forgot password link if you've forgotten your credentials.
  • Try a different browser or incognito/private window.
  • If you signed up with a social provider (Google, etc.), make sure you're using the same provider.

"Access Denied" or Redirected to Profile

If you're redirected to your Profile when trying to access a page like Map or CAD, it means the page requires a higher subscription tier than your current plan. Visit Billing to upgrade.

Map Not Loading

  • Check your internet connection — the map requires an active connection for tiles and data.
  • Disable browser extensions — ad blockers or privacy extensions may block map tile providers.
  • Try a hard refresh — press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  • If the issue persists, try a different browser.

Notifications Not Working

  • Ensure you have at least one incident type selected in your Profile notification settings.
  • For email notifications, verify your primary email is confirmed in Clerk.
  • Check that popup/notification permissions are allowed in your browser for the site.
  • Free-tier users: confirm you haven't exceeded the 3-type limit.

Incidents Not Showing

  • The incident list and map show only active incidents by default. If there are no active incidents in LA County, the list may be empty.
  • Some incident types (medical) may be hidden by site configuration.
  • Check the Live/Offline indicator on the CAD Dashboard — if it shows Offline, the connection may be interrupted.

Billing Issues

  • Subscription changes are processed through Stripe. Use Manage Billing on the Billing page to access your Stripe Customer Portal.
  • If your tier didn't update after payment, try signing out and signing back in, or wait a few minutes for the sync to complete.
  • For billing disputes or refund requests, contact support@firepaging.pro.

Maintenance Mode

Occasionally, the site may enter maintenance mode for updates. During maintenance, access may be limited to the home page, dashboard, incidents, help, and public group profiles. Full access resumes when maintenance ends. Administrators can access all pages during maintenance.
